TJ Saddler was born in Lincoln, Nebraska and grew up as the son of a preacher and spent many of his Sundays singing in the church choir. It became clear very soon to those who knew him that music would be a major part of TJ’s life. Throughout his school years, and especially in high school, TJ was part of nearly every choir or musical group that would have him.
After high school, TJ attended the prestigious, award-winning entertainment media school, Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida where he received his Associate’s Degree in Science of the Recording Arts. In 2003, after achieving his degree, he started his career as a performing artist with the a cappella group, No Better Cause. During TJ’s tenure as high tenor of the group, they performed in 320 shows and sold 14,000 CDs over a 5-year span. They performed with such acts as Boys II Men, News Boys, and Mitch McVicker.
Through his years as a producer, TJ’s accolades include Omaha Entertainment Award’s 2008 Best Rap Album for local artist Jamazz as well as Nebraska’s 2008 Album of the Year for Lucas Kellison’s Rise.
In 2009, TJ became co-owner of a state-of-the-art recording studio in Lincoln, NE. It was in this studio that TJ was able to produce the music projects of countless local and regional acts, and has also been host to national recording artists such as George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, Leela James, Juvenile, Dead Prez, Kevin Gates, Ritz, Scarface and Travis Porter, just to name a few.
After years of recording and producing the music of other artists, TJ began working on his upcoming solo project, Believe in Beautiful. He released the title track as a single in January 2012 and followed it up later in the year with the single Deal with Your Daily Daily. The full album is scheduled to be released in the spring of 2015, but not before a couple of more tracks are released as singles. In the past year, He has released Believe in Beautiful and was nominated for best RnB and Best Recording Studio by the Omaha Entrainment Awards.
